Atlas Collectible Firearms is proud to present this high-condition 1st Generation Colt Single Action Army (SAA) revolver, manufactured in 1905, chambered in the desirable .38-40 WIN cartridge. This Pre-WWI example is extremely rare to find retaining such a significant amount of its original factory finish, as most turn-of-the-century examples are heavily worn or re-finished.

This SAA features a 4.75-inch barrel and retains a striking combination of factory Charcoal Blue and Case Color Hardened (CCH) finishes with very vibrant factory Fire Blued screws. The included Colt Archive Letter confirms shipment on October 27, 1905, to Louisville, Kentucky. All numbers match across the frame, trigger guard, grip frame, and grips. The factory original hard rubber grips are near perfect with sharp checkering. The revolver is displayed in a custom glass-top case.

The original Charcoal Blue finish rates approximately 85-90% overall, retaining a deep, dark shine, while the factory CCH rates about 80%, with strong colors still present on both sides of the frame. The bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling, the cylinder face shows little use, and the mechanics are perfect with crisp "four clicks" and tight lock-up. A rare opportunity to acquire a high-condition 1st Generation SAA with provenance.
